EventPro Terminology Changes

Scroll Prev Top Next More

If you have used previous versions of EventPro Software, you may have noticed that some of the terminology has changed.

Here are a few of the more commonly used terms that have been changed in EventPro:

Accounts:

oThe term "Account" is used in two different contexts in EventPro, as is common for many businesses. There is the financial meaning of "account", as in you will have different "account codes" to track your organization's income and expenses.

oThere are also "Accounts" in the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) meaning, referring to the companies and contacts with which your organization associates. A CRM "Account" in EventPro can be either a Company or an individual ("Contact"), and Contacts do not  need to be linked to Companies.

Leads & Opportunities (formerly Enquiries):

oA Lead is a potential client who is inquiring about your event organization's services. An Opportunity is the potential event that the Lead would like to hold.  In previous versions of EventPro Software, leads and opportunities would have been referred to as "Enquiries".

Tasks (formerly Actions):

oTasks mean exactly what you would think: Tasks. In previous versions of EventPro, tasks would have been referred to as "Actions", and - way, way back - as "Ticklers".
