Lock/Unlock Application

The "Lock/Unlock Application" tool allows an Administrator User to temporarily block other users from using the EventPro application in order to perform administrative functions, such as adding user-defined fields, without disruptions.

Upon enabling the lock, all users will be automatically logged out of the application within a 5-minute period.

While the program is locked, no users can log back in, with the exception of the Administrator User who performed the lock.

Note: Only an Administrator User has access to this Lock/Unlock Application tool.

 

Locking the Application

1.To lock the application, click the Lock/Unlock Application button.

2.The Lock/Unlock Application edit form appears.

3.Select the Application Locked checkbox, and enter the Message that will appear to other logged-in Users when the lock is enabled.

4.Click OK.

5.The Confirmation dialog appears, saying: "This will automatically exit all users from the application within 5 minutes or less, regardless of what they are doing. Continue?". To continue enabling the lock, click Yes.

6.After lockout is enabled, it can take up to 5 minutes for the other logged-in Users to be logged out.

7.While the users are locked out, you can perform the administrative functions required.

 

Unlocking the Application

1.To disable the lockout, click the Lock/Unlock Application button.

2.The Lock/Unlock Application edit form appears.

3.Un-select the Application Locked checkbox, and click OK.

4.Once the lockout is disabled, the users will be able to log back in.
