The Navigation Menu, accessed by clicking the Navigation icon under the View tab of the Ribbon, drops down the same menus and sub-menus of the different program areas as you see in the Navigation Panel.
If you prefer to keep the Navigation Panel hidden, this Navigation Menu will come in handy.
