Event Contact Types

When creating event bookings, you can link Companies and Contacts to the event in different capacities - as a client, as the "bill to" account, as an agent, and so on.

Under Setup > Events > Event Contact Types, you can define custom Event Contact Types, beyond the standard types already included in an event: Client, Client Contact, Bill To, Agent, and Delivery.

You can later assign your custom Event Contact Types to Companies/Contacts associated with an event to indicate how they are related to the event.

oFor example, in the Event Creation Wizard, see the Event Client & Contact Information page.

oIn the Edit Event Window, see the Other Contacts tab.

1.In the Setup > Events > Event Contact Types selection grid, start a New record.

2.The Setup Event Contact Type edit form appears.

3.Item Code: Type in the name of the Event Contact Type you want to create.

4.Contact Type: From the drop-down, select which general Contact Type applies to the Event Contact Type you are creating: Venue, Hotel, Supplier, or Other.

5.Item #: The Item Number determines a record's position relative to other records in a list or grid. Change the Item # to change the record's position in the numerical sort order.

6.Click Save and Close, Save and New, or Save and Clone, as applicable. Continue creating as many Event Contact Types as you require.
