EventPro Software User Manual

For some types of User Fields - e.g. Date, Time and Date/Time - you can define both the Display Format and Edit Mask, which is useful if you want data to be entered in one format, but displayed in a different format.

We will look at the example of a Date-type user field with both Display Format and Edit Mask defined, so you can more easily compare the two different functions.

In this example, you see that this Contact User Field, "Date Started", has both Display Format and Edit Mask defined.

When you go to the Contact User Field edit form, and enter a value in the Date Started field, you will see that the Edit Mask forces you to enter data in a specific way.

However, when you exit the Date Started field (i.e. the field is no longer focused), the date is displayed according to the Display Format.
