Add Setup Budget Items to Category

You should be in the edit form for the Setup Budget Category to which you want to add Budget Items.

The Budget Items are added to the bottom selection grid of the Setup Budget Category edit form.

Start a new record in the selection grid.

The Setup Budget Item edit form opens.

 

A.Budget Item:

1.Budget Category: This defaults to the Budget Category you are in the process of creating or editing.

2.Item Code: Enter the name of this budget item.

B.Accounting:

1.Account Code: Select the account code to which this budget item is linked.  

You created Account Groups and Account Codes earlier in setup.

2.Department Code: If applicable, select the department code that applies to this budget item.

You created Department Codes earlier in the setup process.

 

When finished with the Budget Item, Save and Close the Setup Budget Item edit form.

You will return to the Setup Budget Category edit form, where you can continue adding as many budget items to the category as you need.

You can then Save and Close the Setup Budget Category edit form.
