•In the Dashboard Store, you record some brief information about the Dashboard, including its Title and Max Records Loaded in Designer setting.
Remember that editing the Dashboard Store is different from designing the Dashboard in the Dashboard Designer, in which you add and manipulate the visual data items. See Design Dashboard.
1.In the Dashboard Definitions area, select the Dashboard Store record you want to edit, and click the Edit button in the top ribbon. (Double-clicking the Dashboard Store record will open the Viewer, not the edit form.)
2.The Dashboard Store edit form opens.
a.Title: You can edit the Title of the Dashboard.
b.Max Records Loaded in Designer: This setting allows you to define the maximum number of records loaded in the preview displayed in the Dashboard Designer.
Setting this field to 0 (zero) will load all records. If you find that it takes a long time for the Dashboard Designer to load up, you may want to limit the number of records used in the Designer's preview.
However, note that if you enter a limiting number in the Max Records Loaded in Designer field, the preview in the Dashboard Designer will not look the same as the final Dashboard. The final Dashboard will be pulling data from all relevant records, while the Designer preview will only use the number of records you have indicated.
For example, in this screenshot, you can see the difference between the Dashboard Designer preview, which is only using a portion of relevant data records, compared to the Dashboard Viewer, which is using all relevant data records.
c.Inactive: Select this checkbox to set this Dashboard to "Inactive".
d.Item #: The Item Number determines a record's position relative to other records in a list sorted by Item #. Change the Item # to change the record's position in the sort order.
3.Click Save and Close when you are done editing the Dashboard Store record.
