EventPro Software User Manual

When you no longer require a Company or Contact record, you may be inclined to delete it, but that is not always the best option.  Furthermore, if the Company or Contact is linked to other data in EventPro, you will not be able to delete the record.

In lieu of deleting a Company or Contact, you can set the record to "Inactive".  Inactive Companies and Contacts can be easily filtered out of list views using the drop-down Grid Filter (View All/Active/Inactive).  The Inactive flag will indicate to other Users that the Company/Contact is no longer in use, but its related records - such as communications and actions - are still archived for future reference.

1.To mark a Company or Contact as Inactive, find the relevant record and open the edit form (as described in Edit One Company/Contact).

2.In the edit form, select the checkbox next to "Inactive".

3.Save and Close the edit form.
