1.The Insert section of the Home ribbon along the top of the Designer contains the different types of items you can add to the Dashboard: Pivot, Grid, Chart, Pies, Gauges, Cards, etc.
2.Click the button corresponding to the type of Item you want to add.
3.The new Item will appear in the Dashboard area below.
At first, it will be blank, until you bind the Dashboard Item to data.
The Dashboard Item will initially be named for its type, e.g. Pivot 1, Pie 2, etc., but you can change the Dashboard Item's name - see Design Dashboard Item.
