VirtualAssistant Setup

An EventPro "Virtual Assistant" is an automated service that scans your EventPro database at set intervals looking for specified situations.

When the Assistant detects the specified situation or criteria, it will perform its defined activity in response, which (depending on the type of Assistant) could be one of the following:

oSending automated email notifications (sometimes with attached reports) to select recipients.

oPushing events to a third-party calendar application.

oExporting invoice data into a format importable by third-party accounting software.

There are three initial steps required to prepare the Virtual Assistant Setup area:

oCreate VirtualAssistant User

oAdjust VirtualAssistant User Settings

oStart/Stop VirtualAssistant Service

Then, you can set up the Virtual Assistants as you require.

oAssistant Creation Overview: Since the process of setting up an Assistant is similar for most types of Assistants, the Assistant Creation Overview describes the common settings you'll find when setting up Assistants, rather than repeating the same instructions for each Assistant.

oIndividual Assistant Setup: Under Individual Assistant Setup, follow the topic headings to view Assistant-specific instructions, and learn about the settings unique to certain types of Assistant.

oCalendar Assistants: Because the Calendar Assistants are a bit different than the other Assistants, their setup is described in a separate section: Calendar Assistants.
