•A Filter Element is a specialized, interactive dashboard item that allows the user to apply filtering to the other items on the dashboard.
•For example, let's say your dashboard displays Net Income by Event Manager, Event Category, and Event Client Category.
•The dashboard displays all-time Net Income Totals, but if you want to see the totals month by month, you can add a Filter Element that filters on selected Months. When viewing the dashboard, you would select the checkbox(es) next to the month(s) for which you want to view income.
•The Filter Elements that you add will be applied to all other items on the dashboard, unless you specify that they shouldn't apply to a particular item.
If you want a Dashboard Item to be unaffected by the filters you set, select that Dashboard Item and click Ignore Master Filters under the Data tab of the top ribbon.
•There are three types of Filter Elements you can use on your dashboard: Combo Box, List Box, or Tree List.
1.The Combo Box filter element allows you to select a value or multiple values from a drop-down list. Whether you can select one or multiple values depends on which type of Combo Box you use: a.Standard, in which you can select only one value. ![]() b.Checked, in which you can select multiple values. ![]() 2.The List Box filter element allows you to select a value or multiple values from a list. Whether you can select one or multiple values depends on which type of List Box you use: a.Checked, in which you can select multiple values. ![]() b.Radio, in which you can select only one value. ![]() 3.The Tree View filter element allows you to select values from a hierarchical display of nodes that can be expanded and collapsed. ![]() |
