New Dashboard Features

With the release of EventPro 18, Dashboards have undergone some changes to improve their functionality.

Addition of the Data Source Wizard:

oThe Dashboard creation process has changed slightly, with the addition of the Data Source Wizard.

oWhen creating a new Dashboard, instead of selecting a Dashboard Type in the Dashboard Store edit form, you will now begin with the Data Source Wizard.

Optimized Speed with Specialized Fields:

oDashboard data retrieval has been optimized so that the Dashboards load faster.

oHowever, in order to facilitate faster data retrieval, certain Dashboard fields had to be replaced by specialized fields created in EventPro 18.

oThese specialized fields have been created for Account Categories, Contact Categories, Budget Items, Product Categories, and any other multi-select fields.

oFor example, when previously adding Account Category 1 to a Dashboard, you would drill down through Account Category 1 > Item Code.

Now, there is a specialized field called Account Category 1 Item Code. You can see an example of this field under Pie Chart Example.

oIMPORTANT: If you used the original fields (such Account Categories, Contact Categories, Budget Items, etc.) in any of your Dashboards, you will need to replace those fields with the new specialized fields.
