In your Resources Setup, you create items under the main types of resources: Setup, Staffing, Catering, Beverages, Miscellaneous and Packages.

Within each of these types, you can further break out the resources under separate Financial Subgroups, if you want.

oFor example, you may have a long list of resource items that generally belong under "Setup", but if you want to track more specifically which kinds of resources are being used and how much revenue they are generating, you could further separate out the items under different Financial Subgroups - say "Equipment", "Audio/Visual" and "Decoration".

oAs you add resources to an event, the costs and charges of each item will be assigned to the relevant Financial Subgroup.  

You can also use Financial Subgroups to break out and track the costs/charges from multiple Venue Locations and Accommodations.  

oFor example, if you have two different venues, you could create a different Financial Subgroup for each, in order to report on the venues individually.
