•Event Itinerary allows you to break out an Event Location into separate blocks of activity called Event Location Itinerary Items.
•An Itinerary Item represents a block of time set aside for a specific purpose.
•You can assign an Itinerary Type to an Itinerary Item to indicate its purpose: Function, Setup, Teardown, or Other.
•You can also use an Itinerary Item to schedule Event Functions. A Function is a defined activity to which you can register Attendees. You would have defined Functions earlier in Edit Event > Function Setup. You assign a Function to an Itinerary Item to indicate when and where that Function occurs.
•Although Itinerary Items and Functions are used together, it is important not to confuse the two separate terms.
oAn Itinerary Item simply represents the scheduled block of time set aside for a specific purpose, which can be a Function, but does not have to be. An Itinerary Item can also be used for Setup, Teardown, or "Other" purposes.
oThe Function is the defined activity (from Edit Event) for which Attendees can be registered. You assign a Function to an Itinerary Item in order to schedule the times and location (as well as add other details, such as Resources and Attendee Assignments).
•There are several ways you can add Event Itinerary to an Event Location:
oDuring the Booking Wizard:
▪You may have already added a basic Itinerary to your Event's Booked Locations during the Event Creation Wizard.
▪On the Booked Location Defaults page of the Event Creation Wizard wizard, there was a "Create Location Itinerary" checkbox, which, if selected, added Setup, Teardown and Function Itinerary Items to the Booked Locations in the Event.
oCreate Itinerary Button:
▪The Create Itinerary button adds a basic 3-part Itinerary to an Event Location, with automatically added Setup, Teardown and Function Itinerary Items (just like the "Create Location Itinerary" checkbox in the Event Creation Wizard).
▪You can add one of these auto-create itineraries to one Event Location at a time, or multiple locations at once:
Auto Create Itinerary - One Location
Auto Create Itinerary - Multiple Locations
oMulti-Add Detail Event Location Itinerary
▪The Multi-Add Detail command allows you to add an Event Location Itinerary Item to multiple selected Booked Locations.
oAdd Itinerary Manually:
▪If you want to create your own Event Location Itinerary Items individually, see Add Custom Itinerary.
▪While creating a custom Itinerary Item, you will be able to assign a Function, if you want. However, if you want to assign Functions to Itinerary Items, ensure that you have first defined Functions under Edit Event. See Edit Event Window > Function Setup.
•Once you have created your Event Itinerary, you can view the itinerary per Event Location, or for the entire Event:
