EventPro Software User Manual

1.To add text to the body of the email, you can simply type in the memo area under the Content tab.  More options, including Templates and formatting in the Word Processor, will be described below.

2.If a signature has not already been added automatically, you can quickly add a pre-defined email signature to the Content by clicking the Insert Signature icon and selecting the email account containing the signature you want to use.

3.Word Processor:

a.If you want to access more sophisticated formatting options, you can open the full Word Processor by clicking its icon .

b.If you intend to add Merge Fields to the content, you will note that this document uses the "Email" Merge Table, since you are working in an Email edit form.

c.To review the various functions of the Word Processor, see Common Procedures > Word Processor.

d.When you are done working in the Word Processor, ensure that you click Save.  You will return to the Email window.

4.Load a Letter Template: As you may remember, Letter Templates are created under Document Management > Letter Templates. (Remember that the Letter Template may have been set up with Auto Attach Documents, which will be automatically pulled into this communication's Attachments tab upon loading the Letter Template.)

a.Click the Load Template button under the Content tab.

b.The Setup Letter Template window opens (or, if the Linked To Event has its own set of defined Event Letter Templates, the Event Setup Letter Template window opens).  

c.Because you are working in an Email edit form, you will only be able to access Letter Templates with the "Email" Merge Table. You can review the significance of Merge Tables under Document Management > Letter Templates > Selecting Correct Merge Table.

d.Select the Letter Template you want to use and click OK.

e.The content of the selected Letter Template will appear in the Content tab of the communication email.  

f.If there was an Email Subject set on the Setup Letter Template, and this email's Subject was blank when you loaded the Letter Template, that default Email Subject will be used.

g.You can edit the text as required for this email. Remember that you can open the Word Processor for more sophisticated formatting options.
