•As your event moves through various stages of planning, you will probably want to change the Event Status and Event Lock Level accordingly, in order to inform other Users about the progress of the event.
•The Event Status and Lock Level may also determine which users can make changes to the event, depending on how the User Security Permissions are set up.
•Event Statuses are custom-defined by your organization; see EventPro Setup > Events > Event Statuses.
•Event Lock Levels are hard-coded in EventPro.
•While Event Status and Lock Level are the main indicators of event progress, it may also be important to address the event's Contract Status, Deposit Status and Catering Status, since changes in those statuses may trigger certain activities and/or affect which Users can access/edit the event.
•To learn how to change the statuses and lock levels of events, see the instructions below:
oChange Event Status and/or Booked Location Status:
If the Event has one Booked Location, the Event and Booked Location will be the same Status. If the Event has multiple Booked Locations, and they are set to various different statuses, the overall Event Status will be set to the highest-ranked Status Type used by the Booked Locations.
▪To change Event Status, see Event Management > Edit Commands > Change Status.
▪To change Booked Location Status, see Event Management > Edit Event Locations > Edit One Event Location > Event Location Info, or Edit Multiple Event Locations > Change Status.
oChange Event Lock Level: See Event Management > Edit Commands > Set Lock Level.
oChange Contract Status: See Event Management > Edit Event Window > Contract/Deposit.
oChange Deposit Status: See Event Management > Edit Event Window > Contract/Deposit.
