There are several factors that affect what you can see and do in EventPro. The following reasons may explain why you can't see certain items, or can't locate records that you have previously viewed.
EventPro Software has very detailed user security rights, which most likely have been set for you by a higher-level security user.
Your user security permissions will determine which areas you can access in EventPro, and whether you can create, modify or delete certain records, among other things. See the topic Security Setup / Roles (Security Permissions).
Although the instructions in this manual may say that you will be able to do "such-and-such", your user security rights may actually restrict you from doing said "such-and-such". If you feel that you need to be able to do "such-and-such", please consult your administrative user who sets the user rights for your software.
EventPro Software is modularized, which means it has a standard base of core functionality with a wide variety of optional integrated modules. While the standard base software is the same for everyone, different organizations opt to purchase different modules, so not every installation of EventPro Software will be the same.
This User Manual describes an EventPro installation that contains all of the modules with full functionality. If the instructions refer to certain areas, tabs, or fields that you can't see on your EventPro screen, it may be that you have not purchased the related module. If you don't have the module required for the described functionality, you will not see the related areas, tabs, and fields in your application.
To determine which modules your application currently includes, check your application's EventPro - About window.
If you do not have a specific EventPro Module, but think it may beneficial, please contact your nearest EventPro Solutions Consultant for assistance. Any of our Solutions Consultants will be happy to answer your questions and discuss how EventPro Modules will meet the needs of your organization.
During the training and implementation process, your organization's program layout may have been customized so that certain screen or tabs are hidden or in different places than the default EventPro setup.
You will need to speak to the administrative user who managed EventPro setup at your organization to locate the area or function you are seeking.
This is a very common answer to questions like "Where are the Events that I just booked?" and "Why can't I see all of my Tasks?".
First, try the Refresh button. If you still can't see records that you are sure should be there, check if there is a filter or search set on the window or tab. A filter or search could be excluding the record you want to view.
In Selection Grids and List Views, a certain element could be hiding records. Review the following topics:
•Grid Filter: View All, Active, Inactive, etc.
In the Venue Calendar or Event Calendar, there are a few factors that could be hiding the events you want to see:
•Check the options in the Control Panel Filter, which could be hiding events for certain locations, event managers, statuses, or categories.
•If the calendar view extends below view, use the vertical scroll bar.
•Try using different calendar views to see more events, dates, or times. Review the topic Select Calendar View.
The Task Calendar also has a Control Panel Filter, which may be hiding certain tasks. Review the topic User, Status & Category Selections.
Some elements in the EventPro interface can be moved or hidden. Some examples include:
•You can choose to show, hide, auto hide, float, or dock the Navigation Panel on the left of the screen.
•The Ribbon of commands (New, Refresh, etc.) along the top of a window can be minimized or expanded.
•You can float, dock, or auto-hide the Venue Calendar Control Panel or Task Calendar Control Panel.
If you accidentally minimized, closed, moved, or hid one of those elements, it may appear as if it is missing, but you simply need to expand, dock, or show it again.
You will not see the results of an edit until you have completely saved the record, which sometimes involves saving the record that contains the record you just edited. This is particularly relevant if you are working through several layers of windows.
If you have made changes, but don't see it updated on your screen, check to see if there are any active Save buttons left.
Some settings in EventPro Setup require you to log out and log back in to take effect. You may want to try logging out and logging back in.
